Tủ Mây
FOUNDERS

Why we built Tủ Mây.

Storage asks a stranger to hand over what they own and trust that it comes back. A company that asks for that should not be anonymous. Tủ Mây was founded by Trần Huỳnh Thế Đông and Tôn Thất Tường.

THE REASON

Rent in this city buys living space.

It should not be spent on boxes.

A flat in Ho Chi Minh City costs more every year, and a good part of what it holds has not been opened in twelve months. The winter clothes. The second desk. The boxes from the last move that were never unpacked. People are given two options: throw them away, or lose a room to them.

The third option, paying someone to keep them, has always existed. It failed for a simple reason: once your things are in a warehouse, you cannot see them. You forget what you put in, you cannot find one item without a trip across town, and after a few months you are paying rent on a room you no longer picture.

Tủ Mây exists to remove that flaw. A crew comes to your door, every single item is photographed and coded before it goes on the van, and the catalogue lives on your phone. Ask for one box or one chair and it comes back. That is the entire idea, and everything else in the company is built to make it true.

WHY THE TWO OF US

One of us keeps promises, the other keeps custody.

Đông spends his working life on services where a stranger hands over something of theirs and expects it back better than it left: Giặt Ơi!, the 24/7 laundry pickup service, and Susubao, the steamed-bun brand. He also builds autonomous AI systems, and works in risk services at a Big Four firm; that is why Tủ Mây photographs and codes every item on the day it is collected rather than counting boxes on a manifest.

Tường comes from custody. He led IT infrastructure and service management at DHL Global Forwarding, where every parcel belongs to someone and every handover is recorded, and he works in digital trust and cybersecurity at a Big Four firm. He is the reason the photographs, addresses and inventories of Tủ Mây customers are treated as seriously as the belongings themselves.

Neither half works alone. A service that is warm but loses track of your things is a bad service; a system that tracks perfectly but treats a home like freight is a worse one. We cofounded Tủ Mây because the two halves have to be in the same company.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU

What we hold ourselves to.

  • Every item photographed and coded before it leaves your home, so the catalogue is yours, not ours.
  • One price on the booking form, before you give us your name.
  • A named company behind the service, not a phone number and a promise.
  • Anything back on request, one item or all of it.
