Heat is not what ruins things in this city. Humidity is. Saigon sits above 70% relative humidity for most of the year, and that is what warps solid wood, lifts veneer, spots leather with mould, cockles paper and corrodes the contacts inside electronics.

What actually needs it

• Solid wood and veneered furniture, which warps and separates
• Leather bags, shoes and sofas, where mould shows within a season
• Paper: documents, books, photographs, anything archival
• Textiles, silk and áo dài
• Guitars, pianos and anything with a wooden body
• Electronics, cameras and lenses

What does not

• Plastic garden furniture
• Sealed boxes of kitchenware
• Metal shelving and tools
• Anything you would happily keep in a garage

If your load is mostly the second list, standard storage is the honest choice and we will say so.

What it costs

Air conditioning adds roughly a quarter to the monthly figure. For a wardrobe of leather and a few boxes of documents, that is the cheapest insurance on this page.

What we hold it at

Units are held at 23 to 25°C, with CCTV around the clock, passcode and fingerprint entry and professional pest control, across five MyStorage facilities in the city.

Two things this is not

Not cold storage. Frozen and chilled storage for food is a different trade with different equipment. We do not do it, and we do not take anything perishable.

Not an air conditioner shop. Searching for air conditioning at warehouse prices will find retailers, not us. We rent storage.
