What you get with a unit

A self storage unit is a lockable room inside a secured building. You bring your own padlock, you hold the only key, and the building gives you a personal passcode and fingerprint entry so you can come in at any hour without an appointment. Nobody else enters the unit. The operator looks after the building: cameras on the corridors and doors, pest control on a schedule, and, in the air-conditioned section, a stable temperature that keeps wood, leather, paper and electronics from absorbing the city's humidity.

Units are billed month to month and renew on their own until you empty the unit and tell us. Each month is invoiced as it begins.

Sizes, in boxes rather than square metres

Most people cannot picture three square metres. Everyone can picture a box. Our three sizes are counted in 60 × 40 × 40 cm boxes, and the same count applies whether you choose a unit or valet shelving.

A studio or a set of seasonal things fits Small. A one-bedroom apartment fits Medium. A two or three bedroom home fits Large. If you book a size and the crew finds you need less on collection day, the plan is reduced and you pay for what you use.

Getting things there

Every booking starts with collection, because the crew photographs and codes every item at your door. A crew arrives with boxes, paper, wrap and blankets, packs at your home, photographs every item, loads the truck and unloads into your unit. Truck, crew and crew are included in the collection fee, which is paid once. Collection only, or collection and final return, are priced separately below. Two days notice is standard; sooner adds 30% of the collection fee if a truck is free. After that first trip you come and go as you like, adding or removing things yourself at no charge.

When valet is the better answer

If you will retrieve things fewer than a couple of times a month, do not own a vehicle, or are leaving the country for a while, the unit is paying for access you will not use. Valet storage keeps the same boxes on managed shelving instead. Every item is photographed and coded, you browse them in your account, and you request delivery of one item or all of them to any address in the city, earliest the next day. Valet is about a fifth cheaper than a unit of the same size. The comparison page walks through the decision in detail.

All five are operated with MyStorage and share the same security: CCTV, passcode and fingerprint entry, scheduled pest control, and an air-conditioned section held at 23 to 25°C. In Ho Chi Minh City, where relative humidity sits around 75 to 80 percent and passes 90 percent on wet-season days, the air-conditioned section is the correct choice for anything made of natural wood, leather, paper or fabric, and for anything with a circuit board.

For companies

Businesses use units for stock that staff need to reach daily, and valet shelving for archives, furniture between offices and marketing material. VAT invoices in the company name, an account with Owner, Admin, Ordering and View only roles, and a CSV ledger for your accountant.
