Self storage in Ho Chi Minh City

The city has plenty of units for rent. What it has much less of is anyone willing to do the carrying.

Self storage arrived in Ho Chi Minh City properly only in the last few years, and it clustered where you would expect: District 2, District 7, Thu Duc and Binh Thanh, where apartments are small and rent per square metre is high.

A self-storage unit sells you an empty box. You hire the van, you carry it, you pack it, you try to remember which carton the thing went into, and every time you want one item back it costs you an afternoon.

This sells you the work instead. We come to you, pack, photograph each item and take it away. When you want something, you look at a picture of it, tap once, and it arrives. You never need to know where the warehouse is.

1. You pick a window. The crew arrives inside it with boxes, bubble wrap and tape.
2. We pack at your place. Everything is wrapped in front of you. You do not have to prepare anything.
3. Every item is photographed and logged. Each one gets its own reference and its own picture, and the full inventory is in your dashboard before the van pulls away.
4. Straight to storage. It goes from your door to the facility and nowhere else, into units held at 23 to 25°C, with CCTV and professional pest control.

Conditions and locations

Units are held at 23 to 25°C, with CCTV around the clock, passcode and fingerprint entry, and professional pest control. The network is operated by MyStorage, across five facilities: District 2 on Vo Nguyen Giap, Thu Duc on Song Hanh, District 7 on Tran Trong Cung, District 1 on Tran Khac Chan, and District 6 on Vo Van Kiet.
