Why we do not own a warehouse
We own no buildings. Customers' things sit in facilities operated with MyStorage. Some people read that as a weakness, so here is the full reasoning, including what we give up for it.

The reasoning, short
- A compliant building takes years and serious capital to do properly.
- A rented shed can be done quickly, and it is worse for the customer.
- Five existing locations beat one of our own.
- What customers actually see is the crew and the catalogue, so that is where capital belongs.
- The cost: we do not control the building, and we say so.
Two roads for a new storage company
The first: rent a shed on the edge of the city, put up racking, mount a camera, and call it a facility. Cheap, doable in a month, and it photographs well.
The second: put customers' things in a building already built and licensed for exactly this, and spend everything else on the rest of the service.
We took the second road, and not out of modesty. A rented shed has no lockable unit per customer, no fingerprint entry, rarely an approved fire system, and almost never air conditioning running all year. Customers do not see that difference in month one. They see it in month eight, when the box is opened.

Where the capital goes instead
If we built, the money would sit in concrete and a land lease. Because we did not, it sits in: a trained crew, decent boxes and materials, the barcode and item-photograph system, the customer account, and the vans.
Those are the parts you touch. You never touch the roof.

What it costs us
An honest version has to include this. We do not control the building. If the operator changes opening hours, we follow. Our margin is thinner than it would be if we owned. And we depend on a partner for one important link.
The way we handle that exposure is five locations rather than one, and a contract that is with us rather than with them. If a facility stops being suitable, moving is our problem, not yours.
When this changes
We are not promising to build, and we are not going to write a line here about it because it sounds good. If that day comes it will come because the volume makes an operated building make sense, not because it sounds more impressive.

Tủ Mây price list · standard / air-conditioned
Frequently asked
Does going through a partner make it more expensive?
The published price list is what you pay. Putting up our own shed would be cheaper for us, not for you, and the trade would be a worse unit.
What if the partner raises their prices?
That is between us and them. Your price is the one in your contract.
Is any facility Tủ Mây's own?
No. All five are operated with the partner, and we say so everywhere on this site.
Store it, get it back when you need it
We come to you, pack, photograph every item and keep it on a secure shelf, standard or air-conditioned. One message brings any of it back.
