For most one-bedroom rents in the central districts, six months of storage including collection and return costs less than one month of rent on the empty flat. Run your own numbers; the storage side is fixed and published.

Before you go

Book collection for two or three days before the lease ends, not the last day, so the handover is calm.
Empty and defrost the fridge 48 hours before if it is yours; the crew collects it dry and door-ajar.
Pack a "first week back" box and mark it; you will call it out before the full return.
Add a friend as an authorised receiver in the account.
Pick a term if you know the length; a 12 month term saves 15 percent.

While away

The catalogue is the point. You can look at box 14 from another continent and confirm it holds the winter coats. A friend can borrow the bike through a delivery you request and they receive. If the assignment becomes permanent, you can sell furniture through photos, release items to the buyer at the facility with your authorisation, and dispose of the rest; disposal is confirmed with you before it happens.

Coming back

Request the return to the new address for the day you have the keys. The crew delivers, reassembles beds and wardrobes, and places furniture where you point. If you land before you have a flat, call out the suitcases and the first-week box to wherever you are staying and leave the rest for later.

There is no maximum. It renews month to month for as long as you need.

Can someone else collect an item for me?

Yes, if you have named them as an authorised person in the account; they show ID at delivery.

What if I need something urgently while away?

Request delivery to whoever is receiving it; earliest is the next day, within 48 hours as standard, or within 24 hours on express at double the fee.

Can I change from standard to air-conditioned while away?

Ask through the account; we tell you the method and the fee before doing anything.
